Apprenticeship - $10/month or $100/year
Benefits
Apprenticeship includes:
- The CWS tasting journal after three months of membership dues have been paid.
- The Apprenticeship annual gift as determined by the club officers. The first annual gift will be received in the first calendar year after five months of membership have transpired. I.E. If you are a member on August 1st, you will receive the following year’s gift at your membership level.
- The privilege of inviting guests. Guest limits and admission fees vary by event. Guests must be at least 21 years of age.
- Admission to all events open to Apprentices.
- The opportunity to become a Guardian of Library bottles used in tasting events according to Library rules. Guests are not eligible to be guardians.
Summary: Basically, you get to participate in the club where we drink whiskey and talk a lot.
Member’s Rights
As an Apprentice in good standing, you have the right to:
- Participate in CWS activities to the full extent allowed by CWS rules and this agreement.
- Respectfully express your opinions and desires about the governance, operation, and execution of CWS activities.
- Vote on all matters that the Board of Directors opens for voting by the participating members. This may include any decision at the discretion of the Board with the sole exception of the election of Board members and club officers.
- Invite other like-minded people to join CWS.
- Enjoy CWS events without fear of harassment or hostility from other CWS members or their guests.
Fellowship - $25/month or $250/year
Benefits
Fellowship includes all the benefits of an Apprenticeship plus the following:
- The Fellowship annual gift instead of the Apprenticeship gift. The same annual gift timing rules apply.
- Admission to all events open to Apprentices and Fellows
- One free GUEST ADMISSION ticket to each event that allows guests and requires a guest admission fee. Events that do not allow guests or are not included in this benefit.
- Eligibility to run for a seat on the Board of Directors once the requirements are met to extend full voting rights to eligible members.
Summary: Basically, you get to participate in more events where we drink whiskey and talk a lot. And, you get to bring one friend for free to most events.
Member’s Rights
As a Fellow in good standing, you have the same rights as an Apprentice plus the following:
- Full voting rights will be included with a Fellowship or higher ranking membership once club participation reaches 100 active members. Full voting rights as a member of an organization is the right to vote in the election of board members and club officers.
Professorship - $50/month or $500/year
Benefits
Professorship includes all the benefits of a Fellowship plus the following:
- The Professorship annual gift instead of the Apprenticeship or Fellowship gift. The same annual gift timing rules apply.
- Admission to all events including at least one Professors Only event per year.
- One additional free GUEST ADMISSION ticket to each event that allows guests and requires an admission fee. (2 tickets total to each qualifying event).
- Additional benefits that may be included from time to time at the discretion of the club officers.
Summary: Basically, you get to participate in every event where we drink whiskey and talk a lot. And, you get to bring TWO friends to most events.
Member’s Rights
As a Professor in good standing, you have all the rights of a Fellow plus the following:
- Participate in CWS activities to the full extent allowed by CWS rules and this agreement.
- Know that you are one of the most awesome members of the club and are making a significant contribution to the club’s ability to be self-sufficient and pay all these bills!
